We, Gerard Fischer and Lisa Gowey-Fischer, are excited to welcome you to the Northwoods! We traveled to Sawyer County from Central WI for over 2 decades with our daughters. Initially, we stayed at the Chippewa Flowage Campground, then purchased a home on the Flowage in 2020. In 2022 we purchased the Trap N’ Fish Motel, and permanently moved here in 2023. Now, we enjoy snowmobiling, fishing, playing music with our eldest daughter, and lake days in our free time.

We are located on Trail #5 ATV/Snowmobile trail, just 4 miles off of Hwy B in Winter, WI. Only 15 minutes from the Chippewa Flowage and 30 minutes from Hayward. We are surrounded by multiple small lakes, with Fish Trap Lake just across the road. W5581 Log Lodge Road, Winter, WI 54896. 

Our youngest daughter and son-in-law are owners of Trap N’ Fish Lodge across the road from our motel. Open Wednesday through Sunday, the lodge serves a classic Wisconsin fish fry with beer battered cod, hand pattied burgers, fresh cut fries, and more! Make sure to try an old fashioned, and beer battered onion rings! Some weekends you might see us playing music there!
